The ground rules.
By signing in to Binarytree you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.
1.Your account
You sign in with your own GitHub account, so you need to meet GitHub's age and account rules. Keep that account secure: whoever can sign in to it can edit your portfolio.
2.Your content stays yours
You own what you write and upload. You give Binarytree permission to store it and to show it on your page and in link previews while it is published, only to run the service. Unpublish or delete your account and that permission ends.
3.Be honest about your work
Your portfolio is read by recruiters, so it should be true. Don't:
- claim projects, roles, grades or awards that aren't yours, or overstate your part in a team project;
- pretend to be someone else, or take an address to impersonate a person or organisation;
- upload images or text you don't have the right to use, or anything illegal, hateful or explicit;
- publish other people's private information, secrets or credentials (check your READMEs).
4.Your address
Addresses are first come, first served, and some are reserved for Binarytree's own pages. We may take back an address used to impersonate someone or that infringes a name someone else has rights to, and we'll tell you first when we can.
5.Plans
Binarytree is free to start: up to 6 projects and 3 resume versions. Paid plans aren't open yet. See pricing for what's planned. Nothing is charged until you choose a paid plan yourself.
6.Removing content
We may unpublish a page or close an account that breaks these terms, or if the law requires it. You can stop using Binarytree any time by deleting your account in the editor.
7.No guarantees
We work to keep Binarytree running and your data safe, but it's provided as is, and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copy of anything important, like your resume PDFs. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, such as a missed job opportunity, from using or being unable to use Binarytree.
8.Changes and contact
If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top and tell you in the editor before a change that matters takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Questions: the contact address that will be listed here before Binarytree opens to everyone.
